Reading Doctor Online

INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

Welcome to ReadingDoctor® Online!

ReadingDoctor® Online is a scientifically based teaching tool designed to help your child improve their reading skills. It was developed by Speech & Language Pathologist Dr. Bartek Rajkowski.

We have spent many years developing this software and we sincerely hope it makes a significant difference to your child's reading ability! Please read this brief guide to help your child get the most out of the program.

Important things to note when getting started!

✅ Use the Google Chrome browser on a PC, Mac or Chromebook. You can download it for free here.

✅ Use https://login.readingdoctor.com to log on. Create a bookmark to make it easier next time!

✅ Use the full screen button after you have logged in. You may also need to zoom in or out to adjust the size of the program on the screen by using CTRL +/- on a PC or Chromebook, or Command +/- on a Mac. Here's how:

Using the Full Screen button to remove the browser bar
Using CTRL +/- (on PC) or Command +/- (Mac) to adjust size

✅ Although using a PC or Mac is preferable, you can also access the program via https://login.readingdoctor.com through the Safari browser on an iPad. Please be aware that it may run slower on an iPad than on a computer! To use the program on an iPad, please add the login page to your homescreen (you can find instructions here). A native iPad app is currently in development and should be ready soon!

Like all browser-based software, you can expect the program to run quite slowly when you first use it so please be patient! It will get faster because your computer’s browser will eventually cache all of the images, sounds and other data it needs.

Before you begin:

Your child should have been given their own username and password which will enable them to log on and use the program through their Student Login at school and at home. If you don’t yet have these, please contact your child’s teacher.
